A good way to check if yours is clogging: do a WOT run to include going past 3000 rpm. say 2500-3500 rpm. Duty cycle in Group 11 is normally in the 30-35% range at WOT and 3000 rpm. As a general rule of thumb, if it's requiring more than 40-50% duty cycle in group 11 wot 3000 rpm then chances are you are on your way to getting plugged up.

I'm not sure if I'm figuring this correctly but 5th gear in the gas is .837 the diesel is .756. The R&P for the gas is 4.235 the diesel is 3.389. So the final for gas is 3.54 and diesel is 2.56. So if I take 5th out of the diesel transmission and put it in the gas one it puts it at 3.26. I wonder how much difference in rpm that will make at

max power, buy a powerstorke or cummins. youre limited to the 1.9l engine, if you want big power you need a bigger engine. plain and simple. sur eyou COULD get 300hp out of a 1.9tdi, but as stated above it isnt a real daily vehicle. 200hp is something that can be achieved easily and maintained for a good long time.
