- heater fan speed gets decreased to 75%, 50% or 25%. - seat heating gets reduced or turned off - rear window defogger gets reduced - steering wheel / mirror / washer jet heating gets turned off Or the blower output stage died and that's the one that is draining the battery. _____

The fuses diagram found in the vehicle indicate the heat should be 12, 31, 51, 61. The only ones that I find labeled are 51 and 61. If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. mattmar1. 7608 posts 路 Joined 2014. #4 路 Oct 29, 2020. there are 5 "flaps" under the dash controlling air flow thru the ac/heater box, all controlled by stepper motors. if one of these faults, it will usually show up as an IKHA code. as youre getting full defrost heat, but not getting full heat output from the dash vents, id check the 2When the ignition is on, set the heater to the highest temp (84 deg.) and set the fan on low. 3.Hold down the accelerator pedal for 10 seconds then release. This activates the water pump and it will cycle for about 12 minutes to vent all the trapped air into the coolant reservoir (it sounds like a min washing machine).5. Turn the car on and check all fan speeds for noise, repeat the above until fixed. Note - If the fan is seized you may be able to free it off manually through the louvres under the hood.
